Obama calls himself a mutt in his first press conference!

Did Obama really call himself a mutt in his first press conference? Well RELAX. It was just a bad joke. Just like his joke about Nancy Regan contacting Ronald Regan from the dead for presidential advice. He promptly called Nancy Regan to apologize. It makes you wonder what in the heck is swirling around in that dizzy brain after the election.

Everyone else…buy a collectors item action figure and be happy and cut the guy some slack. After all, he was describing the fact that he is mixed race and what people don’t realize is we are all Mutts to some degree or another.

The very important question was asked about what kind of dog his girls were going to get… he said he preferred a shelter dog.

During his first press conference, president-elect Barack Obama was asked by a reporter about the upcoming choice of the family dog. In a semi-serious tone Obama mumbled in response to that “major issue” which has drawn focused interest on his website, he stated, these issues had to be carefully considered. One, Malia is allergic. Two, while there are a few breeds of dogs that are hypoallergenic, that he’d prefer to obtain a shelter dog.

However, most shelter dogs are “mutts”, “just like me”. The response elicited some uncomfortable smiles and chuckles.
